I've learned so much and continue to be humbled by all the mistakes and fumbles I make along the way. However, much like God's true redemptive quality, He spoke to me again through the various emails and letters I get from you. And all I have to say is these lessons are "My Fish and Loaves".
It's truly amazing to see what happens when we obey.
I have in my head this quote I encountered while on my way to my first mission trip to Romania. At the time, Princess Diana and Mother Teresa had died. There were articles all over the newsstands about their deaths. What struck me the most about Mother Teresa was her faithful obedience.
The quote went something like this... "God does not call me to a life of ______, but to a life of obedience." I looked it up but couldn't find it, but I remember the second part well, because at that time he was asking me to obey.
You fill in the blank with whatever you struggle with. Whatever it is that you struggle attaining.
He is just calling us to obey.
Just bring Him your fish and loaves- He will do the rest!
Ok, I know I got a little preachy there, but I can't help it- it's just where I'm at right now. Obedience. Plain and simple.
As for the plans I just sold, there is one link that is wrong. ARRGG! It is the 3rd link on Day 1. It will take you to the wrong place. So please save this one instead: http://library.thinkquest.org/J002289/index.html.
It is correct on paper, but strange enough when I copied it to the link page it takes us to an Earth video. Who's knows why, but it did.
Also I have all the clipart and Downloadable files you need for Lesson 14 here. Are you saying," Were there really more?"
Yes! Remember I said I'd have that for you by Sunday? Well, here they are!
This activity is by far my fav for the week, because I love the fun interactive website it goes with.
Next up will be organizing and Lesson 14 pictures (making granite pictures). I really hope you know you do not have to do all the activities in the plans. In fact, I put a few so you could choose which one is your favorite or which worked best for your child. Feel free to use them as you want- I would never want anyone to feel "pressure" to get it all done. Heck when I was teaching, I never had a day where I got all my plans done. I always had more to teach. So since we have our kids with us all the time, feel free to do it however suits you best. Remember, they are just a tool.
Blessings to you all,
Crecia
One more thing, if you don't have the plans, but still want to do these, I will show that later this week, so you can download these now and use it later.
What an amazing blog you have! We have just joined a local CC group and what a resource your blog is for us doing this at home, during the week!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Thank you so much for that Lu! I appreciate your kindness. I try really hard to be realistic and practical with the plans. Glad you are enjoying the blog. :)
